We have our first registrations - Steve Dixon (1976-1979) and Clint Viebrock (1962-1964)!

Update - June 9, 2010

1. A letter to the current CO of VMFA-251 informing him of the reunion has been sent. I have asked that the word be passed to the Marines in the squadron.

2. A notice on the reunion will appear in the MCAA Yellow Sheet starting with the fall issue and will continue to appear until the event begins.

3. Cost - A $1,000 down payment will be due in November to hold the reunion. I had to pony up $500 of my own money just to sign the contract and get this thing going. I will need 12 registrations by November 1st to make this payment. The more the merrier! Another payment will be due in February, 2011. We need 100 sign ups by February 1 in order to cover all expected costs. So if you can do so, please sign up early! And pass the word!

4. As soon as I start receiving reunion payments, I will list those who will be attending on the site. A link will be available on this page and soon as they come in.

5. I will need 2 volunteers to help man the registration desk on Thursday, April 21, 2011. The desk will be open from 4pm to 7pm. Reunion info!

The dates for the reunion are April 21-24, 2011 (Thursday through Sunday). Thursday will be check in day and Sunday will be check out day.

It is open to all Marines who served or are currently serving with VMFA-251.

The reunion will be held at the Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center, located in Peachtree City which is located approximately 30 miles south and west of Atlanta. For those that may drive, parking is free.

Getting room reservations are separate from reunion fees. The room rate is $99 a night plus taxes. Reunion fees will include cost of meeting room, banquet room, Friday hospitality room, commemorative poster, name tags, mailings and a dinner for Saturday evening. I am also working to have golf carts available for rent at a reduced price since we have nearly 90 miles of cart paths in our city. You can get anywhere in our town in them. For those that like to hit the links, golfing is available!

Please remember wives and children are also welcome! Make it a family affair!
